What is it?

When your agents scan computers, ALVAO automatically creates and updates monitor records in the asset database. No more manual entries after bulk deployments. No more mystery monitors piling up in one folder with no clear owner.

Each monitor is displayed together with the computer it’s connected to and the date it was last detected.

You’re deploying agents across the office. Each machine has one or two monitors. Normally, that means hundreds of monitor records to create and link by hand. With automatic monitor tracking, ALVAO does it for you: monitors are created and placed under the right computer the moment the agent runs.

2. Spotting a missing or relocated monitor

A monitor disappears from its usual spot — taken home, moved to another desk, or simply gone. ALVAO records when each monitor was last detected, making it easy to identify devices that may be missing. Create a custom view for monitors not seen in the last 14 days and focus on assets that need attention. With ALVAO Asset Management Autopilot, you can even trigger an automatic inventory check to verify their location before a missing monitor becomes a costly problem.

3. Keep Monitor Assignments Up to Date

Using Object Rules with ALVAO Asset Management Autopilot, you can automate monitor assignments. When a monitor is connected to a different employee’s computer, ALVAO automatically reassigns it to the new user, keeping asset ownership up to date without manual effort.

4. Home office and hot desk monitors that should stay put

Some monitors are personal — home office setups that come and go. Others are shared at hot desks or docking stations. Mark them as Private or Shared and they’re excluded from automatic relocation rules and handover protocols, so you don’t get false alerts every time someone works from home or from hot desk.
