Common features

  • User menu (top-right) - Settings – look of the pages is aligned with the Fluent Design System. (T193418ALVAO)

    • Products and modules are now grouped into separate sections.

ALVAO Asset Management

  • The object organizational structure feature is now available without requiring any extension module. (T194411ALVAO)
  • Objects - Object page – added total item count badges for the Child objects, Relations, Software, Tickets, and Attachments tabs. (T190760ALVAO)
  • The Accountant object property category was renamed to Accounting. (T182406ALVAO)
  • Documents - the Delivery note document type was renamed to Delivery notice. (T182406ALVAO)
  • Import licenses from Microsoft 365 is now part of the product and enhances the functionality of the old certified Import M365 Licenses application. You can import licenses from Microsoft 365, track their assignments to users, identify “wasted” licenses etc. (T194039ALVAO)

ALVAO Service Desk

  • Tickets - New ticket, Message, Resolve, Note, etc. - you can now mention colleagues by typing @ in the rich text editor to involve the right people and ensure they are notified about important ticket activities. (T164791ALVAO)
  • Tickets - New ticket - Service field - [...] button - each service in the tree has a tooltip displaying its description. This also applies to the Move to another service command form. (T187832ALVAO).
  • Knowledge base – Knowledge page - users with permission to edit the knowledge can view knowledge statistics directly on the knowledge page (the same as those displayed at the top of the Edit form). (T184019ALVAO)
  • New ticket form - non-mandatory fields for transit to status​ - the new form editor is available in the ticket status definition​. It's possible to add fields, ​sections, text blocks. Fields can be added directly to the process (T194038ALVAO).

Standard edition - extension modules

ALVAO Discovery Agent

The new automatic monitor creation feature can automatically create and update display monitor objects in the object tree based on computer scan data. This feature replaces the now-retired Object create monitors application. (T194029ALVAO).

ALVAO Endpoint Management Connectors

For Microsoft Intune Connector, you can enable the Default for discovered devices certified object rule without requiring any additional extension module. This rule automatically places each computer object under Alvao in the corresponding user object based on its assignment in Intune. (T194411ALVAO)

  • If you import Microsoft 365 licenses information into Alvao using the Import M365 Licenses certified application, after the upgrade, go to Administration - Settings - Microsoft Entra ID - Features, enable the Microsoft 365 licenses feature, and grant consent. The original certified application will be automatically removed after the upgrade. (T194039ALVAO)
  • New columns Product CPE and Vendor CPE can be displayed on the Software page and on the Objects - Object - Software tab. The columns will soon be populated and updated from the Software product library to enable analysis of known software vulnerabilities (see CVE and NVD) by mapping them to installed software. ALVAO Asset Management Autopilot

  • GET /objects/{objectId}/software - added this new endpoint for retrieving information about software installed on a specific device. (T194042ALVAO)

ALVAO DevOps Connectors

  • Tickets - Ticket - Communication tab - improved formatting of messages from Azure DevOps and Jira, ensuring that user mentions are clearly visible in Alvao. (T193006ALVAO)

ALVAO Microsoft 365 License Optimization

  • The “Import M365 Licenses“ certified application will be disabled and removed after the upgrade. If you want to import licenses from Microsoft 365, set-up and enable the new built-in feature Microsoft 365 Licences. (T194039ALVAO)

ALVAO Remote Access and Support Connectors (Preview)

  • This new module enables integration between Alvao and external remote access and support tools.
  • The new Splashtop Connector enables IT service desk agents and asset managers to launch Splashtop remote desktop sessions directly from Alvao tickets or objects (assets). (T194053ALVAO)

ALVAO Ticketing Connectors

  • The new Zendesk Connector integrates Zendesk with ALVAO Asset Management, enabling you to assign Alvao objects representing computers, peripherals, and other IT assets (Configuration Items in terms of the ITIL) to Zendesk tickets. (T194077ALVAO).
