Lansweeper Connector
The connector periodically (every hour) reads the information in Lansweeper (LS) and updates the corresponding objects representing the devices in Alvao.
When the import is running for the first time, Alvao objects are paired with LS devices by the BIOS serial number, Hostname or IMEI object property.
If no Alvao object is found for a given hostname, serial number or IMEI respectively, a new Alvao object is created in the Imported objects folder in the object tree. Alvao automatically chooses the best-fitting object type for the new object. Check the content of the folder regularly. If necessary, change the type of newly created objects, and move the objects to appropriate places in the object tree.
For all objects paired with a device in LS, the connector sets the Lansweeper device ID object property and uses the property instead of the Hostname property.
The Lansweeper site ID property contains the identifier of the site from which the device was imported.
In the Lansweeper last check-in property, you will find the date and time of the last Lansweeper successful scan or the last asset update (if last scan is empty).
The connector can update the following object properties:
- Hostname
- Operating system
- User (UPN)
- Model
- Manufacturer
- IMEI
- Serial number
- Total storage space (GB)
- RAM size (GB)
- Mac adresses
The properties are automatically added to the mentioned object types on the initial run of the connector. If you plan to use some other object types with this connector, add these properties to them manually.

What connector does
For each device imported from LS, the connector pairs the device with an existing object on the Objects page by values of the Lansweeper device id, or BIOS serial number, or Hostname object properties. If no matching object is found, a new object is created in the Imported objects folder.
To quickly navigate from Alvao object to Lansweeper device page, use the Open in Lansweeper command on the Object page.
In the Lansweeper last check-in property, you will find the date and time when the connector last updated the device information.
For more information, see the ALVAO integration site in official Lansweeper documentation.
