Password Rules
In this window you can set the password rules for users who are not from Active Directory.
Options:
- Complexity of passwords
- Minimum password length (number of characters) – specify the lowest permissible number of characters in a password.
- Passwords must meet the complexity requirements – enable if you wish that passwords have to meet the following requirements:
- The password must have at least 6 characters.
- The password must contain characters of at least three of the following character groups: upper-case letters, lower-case letters, numbers, symbols (e.g. !, $, #, %).
- The password cannot contain the user name or the name of the person (user).
- Password history
- Minimum password age – specify the minimum number of days between two password changes.
- Maximum password age – specify the period of maximum password validity in days. After this period the user will have to change his/her password.
- Allowed range: 0–999.
- 0 means that the validity period is unlimited.
- Size (number) of the password history – specify the number of passwords the system should remember for each user. Users are not allowed to use N previous passwords.
