SAM - notification

User notifications settings in Software Asset Management about inconsistencies related to SW products installed on their computers. The notification is sent if there is no license assigned to the installation on the computer or the installation is not covered in any other way (e.g. by a shared license, special installation).

Options:

• News – set the notification content, select recipients, and define the conditions under which notifications are sent.
  • First notification – enable this option if you want to send the first notification via e-mail.
    • Notify:
      • Person responsible for SW on PC – enable this option if you want to send the first notification to the person responsible for SW on PC.
      • Direct manager of the person responsible for SW on PC – enable this option if you want to send the first notification to the direct manager of the person responsible for SW on PC.
      • Group member – the first notification is sent to all members of the selected user group.
    • Edit message template – editing template of the messages being sent.
    • Detection period after the first notification – enter after how many days after sending the first notification, the computer's software should be repeatedly detected until remedial action is taken. This time should be shorter than the time until the second notification is sent.
  • Second notification – enable this option if you want to send the second notification via e-mail.
    • If not corrected until – enter the number of days. If no correction will be achieved after this number of days, the second notification will be sent.
    • Notify:
      • Person responsible for SW on PC – enable this option if you want to send the second notification to the person responsible for SW on PC.
      • Direct manager of the person responsible for SW on PC – select this option if you want to send the second notification to the direct manager of the person responsible for SW on PC.
      • Group member – the second notification is sent to all members of the selected user group.
    • Edit message template – editing template of the messages being sent.
  • Third notification – enable this option if you want to send the third notification via e-mail.
    • If not corrected until – enter the number of days. If no correction will be achieved after this number of days, the third notification will be sent.
    • Notify:
      • Person responsible for SW on PC – select this option if you want to send the third notification to the person responsible for SW on PC.
      • Direct manager of the person responsible for SW on PC – select this option if you want to send the third notification to the direct manager of the person responsible for SW on PC.
      • Group member – the third notification is sent to all members of the selected user group.
    • Edit message template – editing template of the messages being sent.
  Note:

  User's direct manager is provided in the Manager field in the user settings in the ALVAO WA – Management.
  Note:

  The generated e-mail messages will be sent to all recipients simultaneously (the "To" field will contain the address list of all recipients).
• Other
  • Report send time – enter the time when the notification should be sent (in the hh:mm form).
  • Repeat last alert automatically after – enable if you want to send the alerts repeatedly, and enter the sending period (in days).
  • Notify only of PCs for which the SW detection is not older than – enable if you only want to send notifications regarding computers with current SW detection, and enter the maximum allowable detection age in days.
