TeamViewer Integration: Remote Support Without Switching Tools

Troubleshooting a device usually means leaving your ticketing tool, opening TeamViewer separately, tracking down the right device ID, and then trying to remember which ticket or asset the session was actually for — with no record left behind linking the remote session to either.

The new certified TeamViewer integration removes that context switch: technicians can open and connect to a managed device straight from ALVAO, with device data kept in sync automatically.

What it does

The integration connects ALVAO Asset Management directly to TeamViewer. Once a device is registered in both systems, its TeamViewer identifier is synchronised automatically, so asset administrators no longer maintain it by hand. From the asset detail, an IT technician can open the device in TeamViewer or start an unattended remote session in a single step.

Support specialists get the same convenience from the ticket side: a remote session can be started directly from a ticket, keeping the support conversation and the remote access action in one place instead of two disconnected tools.

How it helps in real life

Unattended maintenance on a managed device

Situation: An IT technician needs to run maintenance on a server or shared kiosk that's registered in Asset Management and managed in TeamViewer — with no one at the device to approve a session.

What you do: Open the asset detail in ALVAO and start an unattended TeamViewer session directly from it — no separate login, no manually looked-up device ID.

What you gain: A faster connection with no manual data entry, and a remote action that's clearly tied to the right asset.

Resolving a ticket with a live remote session

Situation: An employee raises a ticket about a PC configuration issue that's easier to fix by seeing the screen than by describing it back and forth.

What you do: Start a remote support session directly from the ticket; a unique access link is sent to the employee automatically so they can let the technician connect.

What you gain: The issue gets resolved without switching tools or losing ticket context, and the session details are captured against the ticket for an audit trail.

Administration and setup

An administrator enables the TeamViewer connector and links it to your TeamViewer account so that device identifiers can synchronise automatically between TeamViewer and Asset Management.
