Asset assignment

Use this form to configure the asset assignment feature, which is part of the ALVAO Asset Management Autopilot module.

Options:

  • Command panel
    • Save - confirm and save the changes in this form.
  • Require recipient’s confirmation - select this option if you require an explicit confirmation from users who have been assigned a new asset. When an asset object is assigned to a user, the user is automatically notified by email about new assignment.
    • Notification subject - enter the notification subject.
    • Notification text - enter the template of the email notification text.
      • Insert variable - insert a variable into the notification text at the current cursor position.
        • Comment for recipient - text of the asset manager's comment for the asset recipient.
        • Assets page URL - a hyperlink to the Asset confirmation form where users confirm assignments.
      • Restore the default text (icon above the text field) - replaces the notification text with the default version.
    • Generate PDF confirmation document – select this option if you want a document to be automatically created when a user confirms a new asset assignment. Users can view the document in user menu - My assets - (select an asset) - Documents tab, and Objects - (select an object) - Attachments tab.
      • Print report template - select the template for the confirmation document.
  • Automatically send confirmation of returned asset - select this option if you want to automatically send an email notification to users when an asset object is removed from them in the object tree.
    • Notification subject - enter notification subject.
    • Notification text - enter notification text.
      • Restore the default text (icon above the text field) - replaces the notification text with the default version.
    • Print report template - select a template for the document that will be automatically created and attached to the notification. The document includes IDs of the returned asset. The document is not recorded in the user menu - My assets - (select an asset) - Documents tab.

In a multi-language environment, after modifying a notification's subject or text, remember to update the translations in all other languages as well.
