Products

The table displays all the valid software products in the system. If you want to view also the invalid products, use the Show invalid products command in the context menu.

Tip:

The table can be customized.

Warning:

The window options are changing based on the location from where the Products window has been opened.

Options:

New – add a new product.
Edit – edit the selected product.
Delete – delete the selected products from the list.

Note:

You can only delete those products that are not linked to any other records in the database (e.g. the license is assigned to the product).
Certified products can not be deleted.
Replace – replace the user-defined products by certified ones. Certified products are supplied over the Software products sample library which is available from the Internet.

Context menu options:

Audit – set the auditing of the selected product.
Set alternative approved software – set the alternative approved software for the selected product.
Edit product status – edit the status of the selected product (approved/unapproved, ...).
Show invalid products – display also the invalid products in the table.
Table – customize the table.
Find – search a text in the table content.
