ALVAO Asset Management Console

This chapter describes the windows and commands that appear on the screen while you are working with the ALVAO Asset Management Console application used for the ALVAO Asset Management product.

Main Window Options

You can see the Objects tree in the left-hand part of the window. The View tabs and their Detail content changes based on the object(s) selected in the tree.

Tip:
You can customize the size of individual components (even hide by minimization).

Objects tree

The tree displays all the objects registered in the Asset Management. For more information on working with objects and the tree, please refer to the Objects and properties chapter. For detailed description of the window options, please refer to the Objects tree page.

View Tabs

The individual tabs display more detailed information about the object selected in the tree. In other words, the serve to switch between the views in the right-hand part of the Main window. See the details on the individual tabs options in the View tabs window.

Detail

On the Properties, Objects, and Detection view tabs there is one more table displayed in the right bottom part of the window. This table contains the details (relevant records from the Log) on the record selected in the tab above.
The context menu options are the same as on the Log tab.

Status bar

Four items in the bar display information about the console current status:

  • Object – object selected in the objects tree (and the path to the object from the tree root).
  • Table – data about the table that is currently selected.
    If a table row is selected, the information about the order of the selected row, as well as the information about the total number of rows in the table is displayed. If multiple rows are selected, the information about the number of selected rows, as well as the information about the total number of rows in the table is displayed.
  • Database – name of the database to which the console is currently connected.
  • User – the user currently logged in the console.
