Lists of objects

You can display any objects in the objects list instead of the Objects tab. The objects list has an individual window, so it is always accessible, although you edit properties of individual objects in the Console main window.
You can display an object in the tree by double-clicking on it in the Objects list. Object in the Objects list remains marked, although you select another one in the main window tree.

Example of Use – Adding a List

  1. Select a specific object (e.g. the Sales Department) in the objects list
  2. Go to the Objects tab – a list of objects running under selected object in the tree will display.
  3. Execute filtering, ordering and displaying/hiding columns eventually.
  4. Use the View in the lists of objects command from the context menu.
  5. New List of objects window will open (or existing one will activate) and the whole Objects tab, including settings (tree, filters, ordering and visible columns), will move from the main window to the List of objects window as a new view.
  6. Double-click on any object in the table (or use the Actions – Select in tree command, or press the Enter key on the object, or use the icon on the toolbar eventually) and the object will be selected in the objects tree in the AM Console main window.
  7. Display the object details – Properties, Log, ...
  8. Switch back to the List of objects window (e.g. using the Alt+Tab shortcut) and double-click on another object – again, it will be selected in the objects tree in the main window.

Example of Use – Re-displaying the List of Objects Window

  1. In the View main menu select the List of objects... command or use the button on the main toolbar.
  2. List of objects window will re-display the status present before closing the window (views, views settings, ...).
Saved views are individual for every user and they are stored in the database.
