Assets assigned to me

This page provides an overview of the assets assigned to the user and allows you to edit the values of individual objects.

Commands:

  • Move – select a new location for the object in the tree structure from the drop-down list. You can only move properties if you are authorized to do so.
  • Edit – here you can change or enter the values of the object's properties. You can only edit properties if you are authorized to do so.

Tabs:

  • Properties – shows detailed information on the selected object. Both custom and inherited properties are shown.
  • Child object – a list of all child objects of the currently displayed object. This is the default tab for better navigation among the objects in the tree. If the tab is empty, the Property tab will be set as default.
  • Software – the table uses the same settings (views) as AM Console – the Software tab for a single computer, which means that you can display the same columns as in AM Console and the changes of views will take effect in AM Console, and vice versa. The tab is only shown for Computer or Computer Set type objects. The tab is only visible to users who are responsible for the software on the computer (the Person responsible for software property) or have one of the following roles: AM Administrator, Asset manager, Software license manager, Hardware and software detections manager.
  • Also responsible for assets – a list of all assets you are also responsible for in the company.
Tip:
You can use the search field in the top right section to search for objects. You only need to enter a part of the object's name or a partial value of its (custom) property. The list of objects found will only contain objects the user is authorized to view. Special objects (such as Object templates, Object samples, Recycle bin, Disposed assets) are not displayed.
Note:
The My Asset command will only be shown in the user menu if ALVAO Asset Management has been activated and the logged-in user is registered in the objects tree.
The page is also available to users who are registered as objects in AM and are not included in the list of people in Admin.
Note:
This page is the default one if only ALVAO Asset Management has been activated (and not ALVAO Service Desk).
