SAM Manager Report
Part of the ALVAO SAM Assistant module is the SAM Manager Report (SAM Manager Report.rdl) which provides operative overview of installed Sw and purchased licenses. The report graphically represents status in the whole registry and lists the information about a few most important objects only. The graphs serve to gain general overview and to facilitate deciding which information you need to view in detail. Therefore there is a link to corresponding part of ALVAO Asset Management in the description of individual graphs (below).
Note: The report has not been translated from Czech language yet.
Tip: Detailed information can be obtained also in the Asset Management Analysis.xlsm analytical Excel located in the installation folder of the installed Alvao Asset Management Console.
InstallationYou need to install the report in the RDL format into the Report Manager application which is a component of the Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services.
- In the requested folder in the Report Manager application select Upload File.
- Select the SAM Manager Report.rdl on the drive and confirm.
- Go to the Properties tab.
- In the Data Sources section set the connection to ALVAO database.
To set the report regular sending to e-mail execute the following procedure:
- In the Report Manager application elect the report and go to the Subscriptions tab.

- Delivery method to E-mail.
- Recipient to which will the report be delivered.

- Report parameters – i.e. selection of cost center.
Note: If you want send reports automatically via e-mail, you need to set the SMTP Server in Reporting Services Configuration Manager.
