User Groups
Each group can contain both single users and other groups. Both users and groups can be included in multiple other groups at the same time. User groups are used especially for batch management of user permissions when the permissions are assigned to the entire group (instead of to individual users separately).
User groups can be managed in ALVAO Admin under Manage – Groups. The list can be edited manually with common commands New, Edit, and Delete. For more information about assigning the permissions see Object security.
If you are loading users from Active Directory (AD), user groups are loaded from AD too, so you can use groups defined in AD to manage permissions in ALVAO.
