AM Console - Tools - Lists - Definition of properties... - option "selection only" could be enabled even if "Use the list of another property" is disabled

ALVAO Asset Management 10.0 and higher

Symptoms

User interface is not understandable and behaves unexpectedly:

  • option "use the list of another property" is disabled and option "selection only" stays "enabled"
  • If you edit the property value, you can only select a value from the list of values

Cause

The cause is a bug in ALVAO products.

Solution

Fixed in release 11.1.1096 - 11.1 (2023-04-13)

Workaround

To disable "selection only" behavior of the property, go to Tools - Lists - Property definitions..., edit the property definition and:

  1. Enable "use the list of another property" option
  2. Disable "selection option" option
  3. Disable "use the list of another property" option
  4. Click OK to save the changes
