AM Console - Moving objects (bulk) - a "String or binary data would be truncated" error is displayed

ALVAO Asset Management 11.0 and higher

Symptoms

The error occurs under the following conditions:
- multiple objects are moved (or deleted to the Recycle Bin) at the same time
- the tree path for one of the objects is longer than 255 characters
A "String or binary data would be truncated" error is displayed, but the objects are moved. No move history is written to the objects.

Cause

The cause is a bug in ALVAO products.

Solution

Fixed in release 11.1.1096 - 11.1 (2023-04-13)

Workaround

Run the script from the article attachment on your DB. The error should no longer occur.
