AM - Objects - Error "Cannot insert duplicate key in object 'dbo.#movedNodes'" when deleting an object

ALVAO Asset Management 11.1 and higher

Symptoms

When permissions are enabled in the object tree and the asset manager has set permissions on both objects and the recycle bin, an error message is displayed when moving to the recycle bin: "Cannot insert duplicate key in object 'dbo.#movedNodes'. The duplicate key value is (...). The statement has been terminated.". A user in the Asset management administrators group can delete objects without problems.

Cause

The cause is a bug in ALVAO products.

Solution

Fixed in release 11.2.3067 - 11.2/SP1 (2024-09-19)

Workaround

Temporarily remove the asset managers permissions for Recycle bin.
