Setting the List of Trusted Domains

The ALVAO system can also import information about group members coming from other trusted domains. If these domains are not known in the implicit domain tree, a list of trusted domains must be entered manually into the AdTrustedDomain table.

Example of entering two different trusted domains:

  1. Edit the table AdTrustedDomain, e.g. in Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio.
  2. In the first row of the table, enter "SERVER1" into the "Hostname" column and "alvao.cz" into the "DomainName" column.
  3. In the second row of the table, enter "SERVER2" into the "Hostname" column and "test.alvao.cz" into the "DomainName" column.

Tip:
If you are using domain replication, you can enter all the servers with replicated domain controllers into the table. Also, set the correct order for testing the servers in the "Order" column. The import will test all the servers one by one, and if all connection attempts fail, the test will result in an error.
