Behavior

The tab allows to define the behavior of a process entering or exiting the currently edited status.

Options:

  • This status can be changed to
    • Into all states – select this option if it is possible to change the edited status into any other status defined on the process.
    • Only to permitted states – select this option if you want to limit the set of statuses to which it is possible to change.
      All process states are located in two lists:
      it is possible to change to the Permitted states from the edited status, while it is not possible to change to the Forbidden states.
      • Add --> – move the selected statuses from the Forbidden states list to the Permitted states list using the button.
      • <-- Remove – move the selected statuses from the Permitted states list to the Forbidden states list using the button.
    • To statuses based on approval result – select this option if you want the request approving to be performed before changing from this status.
      • End states: For every possible approving result (Approved, Rejected, Canceled or Expired) select a status it should change to after the given result from the menu.
        Warning:
        If you select the Resolved status, the request will be resolved, a notification will be sent and the status may automatically change to Closed.
        The Closed status should only be selected if automatic transition to this status from the Solved status is disabled for the process. It should be used if an approving process following the resolving of the request is set between the above-mentioned statuses.
        Tip:
        Currently edited status can be also selected as the final approving status. In such case the process status change is not performed after closing the approving.
      • Run approval: Select the method of running the approval and the method of its progress.
        • Manually – performed by the user selecting the Have approved command in the ALVAO Service Desk.
        • Automatically
          • Approve with scheme: – select the corresponding scheme from the approval schemes menu.
          • Approve by: – select a person approving the request.
            Set the time after which the possibility to approve by this person expires and the request will move to the status set for the Expired approval result. 0 value means the person has unlimited time for approval.
  • Deadline for retrospective resolution – the field is displayed only in the status for request resolution.
    The "Resolve retrospectively to" section for request retrospective resolution in the Resolve window in the SD Console and in the ALVAO WebApp will become accessible by entering a positive value. The deadline is counted in operating hours determined under SLA.
    0 value means you can not enter retrospective resolution for requests on this process.
  • Switch to this status automatically following the first assignment to solver – select if you want this status to be selected when a request with the New status is assigned to a solver.
    Note:
    This item can be enabled only for a single status in a specific process.
  • Change automatically to Closed status – select this option if you want to change automatically from Resolved status to Closed status (i.e. close the requests automatically after their resolution).
    Note:
    The option is available only in the status for request resolution.
