Permissions

The window allows to set the object permissions for user or group. Objects are managed in the ALVAO Asset Management.
You have selected the user (group) already and you can see your selection in the window upper part which is inactive (grayed). If you want to change the content of this part, you have to close the window and edit another user or group.

Options:

• User/Group – select the user or group you want to set the permission for.
• Object – select the specific object. The set rights will be limited to the selected object and all its child objects eventually.
• Including child objects – enable if you want to set permissions also for child objects of the selected object.
• Object kind – select from the list a kind of object you will set permissions for.

  Allow or deny the following permissions:

  • Read – see the objects and their properties.
  • Change – edit (delete and add also) the properties and attributes of an object.
  • Move – move the object in th tree.
  • Insert objects – move any object (which can be read by the user) under this object in the tree.
  • Delete – delete object.
  Warning:
  Denying permission takes priority over allowing permission.
