Product Status
Use Product Status feature to track the lifecycle of individual products. The main idea behind this feature is to keep an overview of the corporate attitude to individual products, regardless of the Licenses registry or Software profiles on individual computers. ALVAO describes the lifecycle of products with the following statuses:
1. Unclassified 2. Approving <------> 3b. Rejected 3a. Approved 4. Approved – planned exclusion from operation 5. Excluded

Notifying for Unclassified SW
Asset management notifies in the overviews when a software with the unclassified status (default status) is found. If you don't want to highlight the found software with the unclassified status in the overviews, then in ALVAO Admin – Manage – Asset Management – Settings – General tab disable the Notify for products installed as "Unclassified" option.
Possible Scenarios
Company guidelines allow to use only the approved SW
If the company guidelines allow to use only SW approved in any way, the administrator of SW installed on computers enables the Notify for products installed as "Unclassified" option and the system highlights the installed products which need to be approved or deleted.
Company guidelines don't determine the approved SW
If the company guidelines allow to use non-approved SW products, the administrator of SW installed on computers doesn't need to check the products status and therefore he/she disables the Notify for products installed as "Unclassified" option.
