WebService Settings

The WebService configuration is the same as the WebApp configuration. You will first need to ensure the SMTP server settings and the database connection. For more detailed information, please refer to Database Connection and Sending E-Mails.

Then you need to enter the WebService address in the database. To do that, go to Admin – Manage – Service Desk – Settings. Enter the WebService address including the specific file (servicedeskwebservice.asmx). Example: "http://server/servicedeskwebservice/servicedeskwebservice.asmx".

For correct work of authentication using the Windows you need the intranet server address of the ALVAO WS.
Address of the correct zone can be set in the Internet Explorer using the Group Policy in the following manner (more detailed information here):

  1. Create GPO and go to User settings – Administrative Templates – Windows Components – Internet Explorer – Internet Control Panel – Security Page and double-click on Enable.
  2. Open the Show Contents window by clicking on the Show window.
  3. Fill the server address into the Value Name field and the value 1 (Intranet Zone designation) into the Value field.
  4. Click on OK.
