Custom Default User Settings

Each user has his/her personal settings of the ALVAO applications, including the tables settings (views, filters, etc.) and other options in the applications. If the default system user settings are not the ones you want, you can define your custom default settings. The system supports various default settings for:

  • Requesters, i.e. normal users who don't have any role as solver, operator, manager, reader, or irregular solver in any service.
  • Solver teams members, i.e. users with roles on services.
Use the following procedure to define default application settings for new users or to overwrite current user settings with new default settings.

Creating the Custom Default Settings

  1. Set all tables in ALVAO applications as you or other users want them to appear in default settings.
  2. In the ALVAO Admin – Manage – Users select the system user of the Default settings – Requesters or Default settings – Solver teams members respectively according the fact for what type of users you want to change the default settings, and use the Set profile commanf from the context menu, which opens the Profile settings window.
  3. Select your account in this window (more precisely the user account set for the required default settings) and confirm overwriting the settings.
This default settings will be used for new users once they first log into any ALVAO application. The change doesn't take effect for existing users already working with the applications. They have to restore the settings into default status (see Table settings backup and restore), or they can have the manager overwrite it according to the procedure described below.

Overwriting Personal User Settings with Default Settings

  1. Go to ALVAO Admin – Manage – Users and select the users whose settings you wish to change.
  2. Select Set profile in the context menu which will open the Profile settings window.
  3. Select the Default settings – Requesters account or the Default settings – Solver teams members account respectively and confirm the settings overwrite.
