Software Detection Details

This window includes the details on software detections. The files are recognized based on the information from the Software products library. In the default file view, the window is divided into five parts (the registries view uses only the first three):

List of unrecognized files (at the top) – displays the files that have not been recognized by applying any rule.
Folders tree (on the left in the middle) – view of the detected computer drive. If you can see a tick near a folder, this means that this folder includes recognized files.
List of files in the selected folder (on the right in the middle) – displays the files found in the folder currently selected in the folder tree. Recognized files are marked with a tick. The Product column for these files include the name of the recognized software product.
List of products (bottom left) – this list displays products based on the following categories

  • Found – displays all found software products only.
  • All – displays all available software products (this view is convenient if you want to design your own recognition rules)

List of rules (bottom right) – recognition rules for the product currently selected in the list of products. This list includes either file-based rules or registry-based rules, depending on the window viewing mode.
