Inserting Object in Tree

  1. Go to the tree and right-click on the object in which you want to insert a new object. If you want to insert a new object in the tree root, click on an area in the tree with no tree items.
  2. Select the New object command from the context menu.
  3. The New object – select a master object window opens in the Object templates tab containing the object templates menu. Select the object type that you want to insert in the tree and click OK.
  4. If history is kept for the new object (i.e. the template is set) or the new object is inserted into an object with history, the Date and Time window will open where you can enter the object created date and time. You can edit the date and time if you are adding the object to the database ex post.
  5. The new object will appear in the tree. If you select the Edit command from the object's context menu, the Object window will open where you can change the object's icon, name (provided the name is not generated by any property), and type. The List of Properties of an object can be edited on the Properties tab in the Main Window.
Tip:
If you enable the Don't show this window next time and use current date and time option in the Date and Time window, the window will not open next time you delete an object. If you need to enable opening this window in future again, go to Utilities – Settings, click on the General tab and disable the Create history records including current date and time option.
Note:
The list of object templates can be edited and extended with custom objects, see Object Templates.
