General

The tab allows to edit the ALVAO Service Desk general settings and the settings of its cooperation with other applications of the ALVAO system.

Options:

  • Take next request
    • From the oldest – select this option if the next requests assigned to you for processing should be as old as possible.
    • Alternate oldest/youngest – select this option if the next requests assigned to you for processing should be taken alternately from both ends of the queue.
  • Path to AM Console (if not installed) – if the ALVAO Asset Management Console is not installed, specify a path to the corresponding .exe file.
    Note:
    If the AM Console is not installed nor a path to the .exe file provided, you can not search devices in the ALVAO Asset Management.
  • Create messages in this form – select the default form for new messages in the ALVAO Service Desk from the menu.
    Note:
    HTML – allows the text to be formatted (font size, italics, ...).
  • Highlight unread requests in the requests lists
    • None – select if you don't want to highlight any requests.
    • To be resolved – select if you only want to highlight unread requests where you are the solver and requests with no solver in the services where you are the operator for the selected group of requesters.
    • All – select if you want to highlight all the unread requests (e.g. even those assigned to the other solvers).
