Languages

When submitting new requests over the Portal, the Service Desk enables users to enter service names in different languages. The language displayed is based on the requester's language preferences. Language preference can be set by individual users in ALVAO WebApp. The Administrator can also set language preferences for individual users in Admin.

The list of available languages can be edited under Manage – Languages.

Select the languages to set in the window, click the Export button and save the xml file on your hard drive. The xml file can be opened and edited in Microsoft Excel.

This file includes the list of services, with the languages in the columns and the service names in the rows.

Rows with a green background contain service names, rows with a white background contain service descriptions.

Click the Import button, select the file you have edited and confirm the action.

The language changes are finished.
