Network scan
The window serves to setting the network scan.
The table contains an overview of all ranges defined for all Collectors working in this database.
A computer icon at an IP range indicates that these settings are valid for this particular machine only. The settings for Collectors running on other machines are displayed without an icon.
Tip: Customize the table: It is possible to filter and group, customize current view or create other views.
Options

- Search network and create new PCs – enable to activate the network scan function.
- Remove domain name from the name in the network – enable this option if you want to remove domain name from the found computers names.
(COMPUTER.DOMAIN -> COMPUTER)
- Write the IP address to the "IP address" property – enable this option if you want to add the "IP address" property, storing the found object IP address, to created objects.
Note: The IP address will only be saved, if the "computer" object template contains the "IP address" property.
- IP address ranges
- Add – adding a new scope (or IP address).
- Edit – editing the selected scope.
- Delete – delete the selected scope.
