SNMP Network Discovery - a warning "Multiple devices found with hostname 'XXX' or IP address ''YYY" is shown in the log

ALVAO Asset Management Enterprise API, ALVAO Service Desk Enterprise API 11.2 and higher

Symptoms

- a warning (see titile) is shown in the log of the SNMP network discovery service - the releated object of the waning (with that hostname or IP address) in the Asset mnagement inherits property "Hostname" or "IP address" to the child objects and have some child objects

Cause

The cause is a bug in ALVAO products.

Solution

Fixed in release 11.2.1534 - 11.2/FIX4 (2024-08-01)

Workaround

If it is possible, modify template of the object type, so the property "Hostname" or/and "IP address" is not inherited into the its child objects
