SD WA - Communication - Some uploaded images are rotated differently than the originals

ALVAO Service Desk 10.0 and higher

Symptoms

An image uploaded as an attachment may appear in a different orientation in the preview than in the explorer on your computer. This typically happens with .jpg images rotated in Windows.

Cause

EXIF information is not processed by the browser.

Solution

There is no fault in the ALVAO product.

Workaround

Rotate the image using specialized tools.
