The Service Field

When a request is being created or moved to another service, the service is selected to which the request should be created/moved.

The following forms are concerned:

• Write a request (ALVAO WebApp)
• New request (SD Console)
• Move to another service (both ALVAO WebApp and SD Console)

System behavior

The Service field shows a localized service name including the path in the tree.

When the list is expanded, the field shows services for which the current requester has a SLA and in which the signed in user has the operator, requester, or manager role. When you search the list, you will see all services in which the current SLA requester, regardless of other roles, has a signed in user.

Deleted services and folders are not shown.

The text entered in the field is searched for in the service name, including the path in the tree.

The values shown are sorted by their path in the tree.

Custom functions for service selection

If you wish to change the method of searching and ordering of values in the service field, add the ftHdSectionForRequesterSearch_Custom table function to the database.

If the ftHdSectionForRequesterSearch_Custom function is defined in the database, it will be used instead of the default function ftHdSectionForRequesterSearch.

The ftHdSectionForRequesterSearch_Custom function has the same inputs and outputs as the existing ftHdSectionForRequesterSearch function.
