Moving Requests to Another Service

Some requests may be logged in the wrong service. Such requests need to be moved to the correct service. To do that, you can use either Home – Move to another service command from the console window menu, or Move to another service command from the context menu. A window opens where you can select the target service. One or more requests must be selected for this menu item to be active.

  1. Go to the list of requests and select a request or requests that you want to move to another service.
  2. Use the main menu command Home – Move to another service.
  3. The Move to another service window will display.
  4. Use the search field to find a service or select it from the tree.
  5. Select the assign to solver method:
    • Do not change solver if possible – the request or requests will be kept by the current solver if he/she has at least one Solver or Irregular solver permission for the selected service. Otherwise they will be returned to operators.
    • Assign to solver – the request or requests will be assigned to a solver with the Solver permission for the selected service.
      • View irregular – only solvers with the Irregular solver permission will be shown in the field for solver selection.
    • Return to operators – the request or requests will be returned to operators.
  6. In a comment, provide a reason why the request or requests were moved to another service.
  7. Click on OK to confirm.
Warning:

Moving a request to another service may cause a change of the SLA and the due dates arising from the SLA:
  • The SLA is changed if the existing SLA is not defined for the target service.
  • The due date is updated if the SLA has been changed and:
    • There was a default due date set on the request for the original SLA.
    • The request had no resolution due date set and even the original SLA contained no due date for request resolution.
If some of the requests transferred in batch are already in the selected service, the solver of such requests will not change.
