Receiving Notifications

You can subscribe to notifications for a request by going to Edit – Receive notifications. Once you have subscribed to notifications, the Receive notifications button remains pressed and you will receive notifications of incoming messages, due date changes, as well as closed and reopened requests. You cannot subscribe to notifications of a request if you are its requester.

If you want to unsubscribe from receiving notifications, use the Receive notifications button again.

Warning:
The subscribers receive notifications of every incoming message for the request, including messages not addressed to the requester. The subscribers therefore receive more information (a-mails) than the request requester.

Setting the notifications subscription to other people

On the General tab, in the request detail, on the end of system items there is the Notification subscribers (current number of subscribers). The item is visible only for solver team members and service readers.

You can set other people for subscribing after creating a request on the General tab, where you click on the Notification subscribers item.

Once the person is subscribed to notifications, the subscriber can see the Receive notifications button (on the Edit tab) pressed and he/she will receive notifications of incoming messages, due date changes, as well as closed and reopened requests.

Notes:
  • Any person registered in the system having the e-mail set (and not being the request requester) can be set as the notification subscriber.
  • Notification subscribers can be set only by solver team members and readers.
  • If the notification subscriber doesn't have a right for request, he/she can disable the notification subscription using the link in the incoming notification.

Adding the Receive notifications column to view

You can add the Receive notifications column to your views. If you have subscribed to notifications for a certain request, this column will display an icon; otherwise the row in the column is blank. You can filter values in the Receive notifications column by the Yes and No values.

Default Notifications to Subscribers

Notifications to subscribers have almost the same format as notifications to requesters. Notifications to subscribers contain additional information why this notification has been sent, as well as a link to unsubscribe from notifications: You are receiving notifications to this request. If you want to unsubscribe from receiving further notifications, click on: <link to SD WA where users can unsubscribe from notifications>.

Custom Notifications to Subscribers

If custom notifications are set for the service, subscribers will receive custom notification text, including a line containing the information why the notification has been sent, as well as a link to unsubscribe from notifications: You are receiving notifications to this request. If you want to unsubscribe from receiving further notifications, click on: <link to SD WA where users can unsubscribe from notifications>.

Warning:
Custom notification for subscriber contain the same text which is set for custom notification for requester.
So if you write to the requester Your request has been resolved..., the same text will be received also by all the subscribers who might be confused as this isn't their request, but only a request they are subscribed to.
