Inactive User Accounts

There are three kinds of user account limitations in the ALVAO system.

The following limitations are managed in the ALVAO Admin application: View user accounts using ManageUsers.
Select user account and then select Delete or Hide accounts, respectively, from the context menu.
Or you can select Edit from the context menu and then on the General tab select Account is disabled or Hide in menus, respectively.

Blocked Account

It is assumed that the blocked user will be unblocked soon.
Account blocking can be set directly in the ALVAO Admin, or it is set by import from AD (where the account is blocked e.g after three unsuccessful logons).

User with blocked account can not log on the ALVAO system temporarily, however he is still shown in the menus and he receives notifications. Unlike the deleted account the blocked account is still "active" in the ALVAO system and the user resumes his work "without outage" after unblocking.

Deleted Account

The account can be restored if necessary, however the restoration is not assumed.

The user does not have access to the system, he is not shown in menus and he does nor receive notifications; he "does not exist" in the ALVAO system.

To restore show the deleted accounts in the user accounts using DisplayDisplay deleted items. In the selected deleted accounts then select Restore deleted from the context menu.

Account Hidden in Menus

It is not assumed this account will be used by real user, but it can not be deleted. Typically it is system account in the Active Directory created again during every import.

Hidden account does not show in menus and no notifications are received on it; it "does not exist" in the ALVAO system.

Note:
If the account is shown in menus, you can e.g. assign its user into a group, ask him for approval or assign him a request to be resolved.
