Create Query Wizard – Step 2

In the second step of creating the query to database define the properties you want to be monitored.
The window content changes according the object selected in the Objects list – the parameters are set for each object individually.

Options:

  • Objects list – select the object which properties will be displayed in the Properties list window.
    At the beginning, the list contains only the controlling object selected in Step 1. Click the Add object button to add more objects whose properties will appear in the query results.
  • Properties list – enable all the properties of the selected object you want to use in the query,
    i.e. you want them to appear in the query result or for which you need to determine a certain condition, e.g. "RAM size less than 64 MB."
  • Search direction – select the search direction for the selected object based on the controlling object.
    Other object than the controlling one must be selected. Typically, the child objects are searched for.
    • Child object – select if you want to search down, i.e. among child objects of the controlling object.
    • Parent object –select if you want to search up, i.e. among parent objects of the controlling object.
  • Level – select the search depth for the selected object.
    • In-depth – select if the object to find can be located anywhere in the tree of child objects of the parent object.
    • Surface – select if the object to find must be a direct child object to the controlling object, i.e. not a child object of a child object.
  • Quality – select the search quality for the selected object.
    • All – select if you want to search the entire subtree of the controlling object.
    • Closest – select if you want to find only those objects located on the closest level in the subtree of the controlling object.
  • Only objects which are not empty – enable if the controlling object should appear in the query result only in the case the selected child/parent object doesn't exist.
  • Add object – use this button to add more objects to the List of objects.
  • Delete object – deleting the selected object.
