Data Analysis

You can use ALVAO Asset Management to perform analyses in MS Excel. You can open the analysis from Asset Management Console using the Data analysis command available in the Tools section of the main menu. This command opens an analysis MS Excel workbook, which is stored in the "C:\Users\{uživatel}\Dokumenty\ALVAO\" folder. If the folder contains no Excel file with analysis, a new workbook will be created automatically. The first sheet in the workbook contains user instructions.

The user will be signed in the analysis automatically using Integrated Windows Authentication. The user can only see data that he/she is authorized to see based on his/her role or authorizations settings in the Objects Tree.

Note:
The Data analysis command works with the workbook which is in your preferred language. If you use another preferred language than English or Czech, the command will open the English workbook.

We recommend using the analytical database for data analysis.

Tip:
If you want to restore the original workbook, you can simply delete the current file from the "Dokumenty\ALVAO" folder. The workbook will be restored from the installation folder after the next use of the Data analysis command.
Note:
The workbook copy is not upgraded after an upgrade to a new ALVAO version, therefore some sheets may cease to work. If this happens, rename/delete the file in the "Dokumenty\ALVAO" folder and create a new one using the Data analysis command.
Note:
After installation, the Asset Management Analysis enu.xlsm and Asset Management Analysis csy.xlsm sample files can be found in the "{installation folder}\ALVAO\Asset Management Console\" folder. We recommend not using or deleting these files. If you want to work with the files, copy them and use the copies.
