Loading files

The tab serves to set the Automatic loading of manual detection files function.
The function monitors a selected folder on the hard drive automatically and saves any new manual detection files (*.CXM) to the database.

Options:

• Automatic loading of manual detection files (*.CXM)
  • Load CXM files from folder automatically – enable automatic loading of manual detection files.
    Specify a path to the file being monitored by the Collector and from which it will load new detections to database.
    Warning:

    The entered path is a folder on the configured computer, but the ... button browses folders on the local computer. Set the path to correspond with the structure of drives and folders on the configured computer.
  • If the loading process succeeded –
    • Move CXM file to the "Processed" subfolder – select this option if the CXM file should move to the "Processed" folder after loading the detection.
    • Delete CXM file – select this option, if the CXM file should be deleted after loading the detection.
  • If the loading process failed
    • Move CXM file to the "Failed" subfolder – select this option if the CXM file failing to be loaded should move to the "Failed".
    • Delete CXM file – select this option, if the CXM file failing to be loaded should be deleted.
  Note:

  For detections that are loaded automatically, Computer set type objects will be created in the "Folder for detections loaded automatically" in the Asset Management tree root. If a computer already exists in the tree, the detection will just update the existing detection with the new one.
