SW Products Library

The tab allows to setting the work with Software products library.

Options:

• Auto update
  • Download the latest software product library automatically – enable this option if the Collector should automatically check for new version of the Software products library in the Internet.
    If the Collector finds a later version, it will be downloaded automatically and the database will be updated based on the latest library version.
  • Analyze existing detections based on new library automatically – enable this option if you want to evaluate existing software detections based on the new Software products library automatically.
    This evaluation is only performed, if the new Software products library has been downloaded successfully.
  • Verify availability of new library every _ days – enter in days, how often should the availability of a new SW library on the manufacturer's web be checked.
• Send requests for changes in software products library over the Internet – enable this option if you want the Collector to send requests for changes in the software products library.
  The request to add a new product or requests with unrecognized software belong to the requests for change.
• Search for unrecognized software automatically – enable this option if the Collector should search for unrecognized software in the whole database once a week.
  Unrecognized records are saved and if you are sending the requests for change in SW products library (the option above), they will be sent to our specialists who will add the unrecognized software to the standard library.
  Note:

  Every phase (searching the records and sending the requests) can be performed by a different Collector.
  Warning:

  Automatic search for unrecognized software will be only performed, if the library in the database is not older than one month.
• Disclaimer for sending information on unrecognized and new software
  • If you need any additional information, you can contact me at my e-mail address – select this option if we may contact you eventually and fill in an e-mail of the person who can refine the information for us.
    Note:

    If our specialists have any difficulties adding unrecognized records or new products to the library, they will be able to ask you for more details on some information.
  • I don't want to be contacted. I always want to send my data anonymously. – select this option if you want to send the data anonymously.
    Warning:

    Our specialists will not be in position to contact you, so if any of the unrecognized products could not have been identified according to the records sent by you, the product will not be added to the standard library.
