Services
The main window table displays a service tree containing services for which users can enter their requests.
The table editing options can be found in the Edit menu.
Tips for better view and control:
Tip: The services can also be moved around the tree with the mouse using the drag & drop method.
Tip: The services can be batch edited in this way: select the View as list command in the context menu, select several services in the list and use the Edit command.
Tip: Customize the table: If you view the services as a list, you can hide or add columns or create new views etc.
Tip: You can use the Copy/Paste commands available in the main or context menu, the Ctrl+C or Ctrl+V commands, or the mouse (drag & drop while holding the Ctrl key) to copy services in the tree. A service can be copied including its subtree. All service settings will be copied, except the Loading messages tab.
Tips for good structure of services:
Tip: Requesters select the appropriate service, advancing from the tree root to the tree leaves. We recommend that you design the tree in such a way which will enable the requesters to select the appropriate service for their request intuitively on the way from the tree root to the tree leaves.
Tip: The service tree can be structured using auxiliary services with an option Folder set. New requests can not be inserted into folders.
Note: If you have created a new database, the tree will only contain one default service, "Helpdesk". If you want to delete the default service, you first need to set a different service as default with the Default service command in the context menu.
