Moving Requests to Another Service

Some requests may be logged in the wrong service. Such requests need to be moved to the correct service. To do that, you can use either Home – Move to another service command from the console window menu, or Move to another service command from the context menu. A window opens where you can select the target service. One or more requests must be selected for this menu item to be active.

  1. Go to the Requests to be resolved window and select a request or requests that you want to move to another service.
  2. Use the main menu command Home – Move to another service.
  3. The Move to another service window will display.
  4. Please select a service from the service tree (Service Console) or the search field (Service Desk WebApp).
  5. Select the assign to solver method:
    • Do not change solver if possible – the request will be kept by the current solver if he has at least one Solver or Extraordinary solver permission on the selected service.
      • Otherwise it will be returned to operators.
    • Assign to solver – the request will be assigned to the solver with Solver permission on the selected service.
      • View extraordinary – only the solvers with Extraordinary solver permission will be displayed in the field for solver selection.
    • Return to operators – the request will be returned to operators.
  6. Provide a reason why is the request, or requests respectively, moved into another service in the comment.
  7. Click on OK to confirm.
Warning:
The request movement into another service may cause a change of SLA and the due dates arising from SLA:
  • SLA is changed if the existing SLA is not defined on the target service.
  • The due date is updated if SLA is changed and
    • there is an initial due date for original SLA set on the request.
    • the request did not have the due date for resolution set and even in original SLA there was no time to request resolution has been set.
