Deleting Requests

If you want to delete a request, use the Edit – Delete command which marks the selected requests as deleted.

Deleted request does not show in the list of requests and its status is set to Deleted.
Deleted requests can be displayed only in the Service Desk Console using the Deleted items option in the View menu.

Note:

Deleted requests are different from the undeleted ones only by not showing in the usual manner. Although Service Desk Console users can edit them in usual manner.

The requests deleted in this manner can be restored only by the system administrator.

Deleting Requests Permanently

Only the system administrator can delete the selected deleted requests permanently using the Edit – Delete command.

Permanently deleted requests can neither be displayed nor restored.
