The tab makes available the general settings of the Asset Management Console.

Options:

• Create history records including current date and time – enable, if you want to assign time stamps for object history records, including moving, creating and deleting operations automatically. If the option is disabled, you need to confirm (and edit eventually) the action time for every manipulation with the object.
• Always confirm when moving objects – enable if you want to display the confirmation window for every object move.
• Do not confirm action when moving to "Disposed Assets" – enable, if you don't want to display the window for move confirmation in case of moving to Disposed Assets.
• Do not confirm action when moving to "Recycle Bin" – enable, if you don't want to display the window for move confirmation in case of moving to Recycle Bin.
• Detect if the software product library is up-to-date automatically – enable if you want to be notified automatically about a later version of the Software products library anytime you launch the Console. (The ALVAO Collector is equipped with a similar feature which checks for new library updates periodically. If an update is available, the Collector will save it automatically to the database.)
• Path to SD Console (if not installed) – enter the path to the ServiceDesk.exe file manually if you don't have the ALVAO Service Desk Console program installed correctly.
