  • Lansweeper

Importing devices from LS to Alvao

Setting up LS

  1. Create a new account that will represent Alvao in LS.
  2. Create Personal access token:
    • API client name: Alvao Connector
    • Integration: Other
    • Custom Integration Name: Alvao Connector
    • Token expiration time: e.g. 1 year
    • Select sites from which you want to import devices.
    • Confirm and copy created token.

Setting up Alvao

  1. Go to Administration – SettingsAdvanced and create and fill the following settings:

    • Lansweeper.Token – enter the token created in previous steps.
    • Lansweeper.Url - enter your LS frontend Url, e.g., https://lansweeper.contoso.com.
  2. Download the LansweeperConnector.xml package.

  3. Go to AdministrationApplications and import the LansweeperConnector.xml file.

  4. Enable the imported application.

What connector does

For each device imported from LS, the connector pairs the device with an existing object on the Objects page by values of the Lansweeper device id, or BIOS serial number, or MAC address, or Hostname object properties. If no matching object is found, a new object is created in the Imported objects folder.

To quickly navigate from Alvao object to Lansweeper device page, use the Open in Lansweeper command on the Object page.

In the Lansweeper last check-in property, you will find the date and time when the connector last updated the device information.
