New sequence

Use this form to create a new numeric sequence in Alvao.

Options:

  • Name - enter the sequence name.

  • Prefix - enter the text prefix that will appear before the auto number.

  • Next number - enter the number from which the automatic numbering of the sequence will start. The number entered in the field will be respected in the specified format (even with zeros at the beginning) - e.g. it is possible to generate the numbers: IC0001ALVAO, IC0002ALVAO, etc. In case of "overflow" of a number, the length is increased by one character. This will break the original formatting - for example, IC999ALVAO will be followed by IC1000ALVAO.

  • Suffix - enter the text suffix that will appear after the auto number.

  • Usage

    • Object property - the sequence generates object property values.
    • Handover protocol (REP) - the sequence generates handover protocol IDs.

  • Property - select the object property for which the sequence should generate values.

    Properties that have the Selection only option enabled are not displayed in the menu. No sequence can be defined for them.

  • Only for object types - select one or more object types. The sequence will then generate values for the selected object property only for the selected object types. If no object type is specified, the sequence will be applied on all object types.

    A sequence defined for specific object types takes precedence over a sequence that is applies to all object types.
