Inserting Object in Tree

  1. Go to the tree and right-click on the object where you want to insert a new object. If you want to insert a new object in the tree root, click on an area in the tree with no tree items.

  2. Select - New object from the context menu.

  3. The New object – select a master object – Object templates window opens with a list of object templates. Use the mouse to select the object kind that you want to insert in the tree and click OK.

  4. If history is kept for the new object (i.e. the template is set) or the new object is inserted into an object with history, the Date and Time window will open where you can enter the object created date and time. You can edit the date and time if you are adding the object to the database ex post.

  5. The new object will appear in the tree. If you right-click on the object, go to the context menu and select - Edit, the Object – Basic window will open where you can change the object's icon, name (provided the name is not generated by any property) and kind. The List of Properties of an object can be edited on the Properties tab in the Main Window.

Tip:

If you enable the option Don't show this window next time and use current date and time in the Date and Time window, the window will not be opened next time. If you need to enable opening this window in future again, go to Utilities – Settings, click on the General tab and disable the option Create history records including current date and time.

Note:

The list of object templates can be edited and extended with custom objects, see Object Templates.
