You can use the object security to manage the access of individual users to specific parts of the tree. We recommend using the Admin program to manage the access permissions, but you can also use the Console for this.
Follow the steps below to set up the permissions:
Go to the tree and right-click on an object or on a root object for which you want to set up the access permissions. Select
- Edit from the context menu. The Object Edit window will open. Go to the Object Security tab where you can set up the access permissions for the object or for the entire subtree.

Note:
The Object Security tab is only visible for users logged in as "Asset system administrators".

If you want to use the access permissions to objects in the tree, you need to enable the option Use permissions in the Object Tree, see Global Settings
