Object Notes

Notes can be used to contain any text information, e.g. device driver settings, hardware failures etc. Notes can also include file attachments and links.

The notes are displayed in the main window on the Log tab.

Creating New Note

Select specific object in the Objects Tree.
Go to the Log tab and use the "Add – Note" command from the context menu.
The New note window displays.
Select specific object in the Objects Tree.

Showing/Editing the Existing Note

The note can be edited only by its author. Others can only view the note detail.

Select specific object in the Objects Tree.
Go to the Log tab, select the specific note and use the "Edit" command from the context menu or double-click on a record in the log.
The Note window displays.
If you are author of the note, you can edit the information and save changes by clicking on the OK button.

Deleting (Hiding) Note in the Log

Select specific object in the Objects Tree.
Go to the Log tab, select the specific note and use the "Delete" command from the context menu.

Note:

The note will be hidden only and it will be displayed after enabling the "Display deleted items" option in the Log tab table context menu.

Note:

Deleted notes can be restored again by the administrators using the Tools – Database – Restore removed items command.
