Introduction
What is Alvao
Alvao is an IT Service Management (ITSM) tool which supports efficient work and order in organizations. It consists of the following components:
- ALVAO Asset Management - IT asset and other asset management
- ALVAO Service Desk - To manage IT tickets, incidents, tasks, projects
- Extension modules

Alvao delivers the most value when the two main parts are used together, but the two parts can also be used separately.
We are continuously developing the Alvao product and the whole project is very much alive. We find inspiration for the development of new IT technologies, modern service delivery, and management methodologies especially in the suggestions coming from users who use Alvao in their daily work. We greatly value every feedback from the practice, whether positive or critical, which positively influences further development. We are confident that Alvao will meet your requirements. How to read this guide
Use the table of contents, which is always displayed on the left side of the page, to flip through the manual.
The following chapters are aimed at various user roles from ordinary users to admins.
The What's new chapter contains information about what's new in this version of Alvao compared to the previous version, both from the perspective of users and system administrators.
The content of the Application pages chapter describes individual pages, forms, and windows from the application.
Using a computer mouse is described from a right-handed perspective, with the left mouse button being the primary mouse button and the right mouse button being the secondary mouse button. So if you are left-handed and use a mouse with swapped buttons, use the left mouse button where the right mouse button is referenced in this manual.
