Database Maintenance
Options:
- Update data for reports – the columns representing new custom items of requests and new properties of objects are added to database views in the Query scheme which are designed for data analysis and reporting. This update does not need to be done before each analysis or report but only after adding new custom items or properties.
- Optimize performance – updating the statistics and defragmenting the database indices. We recommended performing optimization if the database performance dropped and the ALVAO system is slowed down.
Notification: We do not recommend optimizing performance during system operating hours, as it may take a few minutes and applications may stop responding during that time.
- Repair database – recalculation of pre-calculated values in the database, such as language locale auxiliary tables, object tree paths (AM), object names generated from property values (AM), etc. This command is used for emergency situations only and does not need to be run periodically.
