Approval Schemes

The Approval schemes window allows to create and edit the schemes for automatic approving.
The approving is set on the specific status of any process set on the service.

There is the list of schemes in the left column. The information about currently selected scheme are displayed and edited in the right part of the window: general information in the upper part and the individual approval scheme steps in the lower part.

The schemes currently used in the processes have a folder icon on the left in the list. An information about processes and statuses in which the given scheme is used, is found in the icon description. The description is displayed by hovering the mouse cursor.

List of schemes control options:

• New Scheme – creating a new scheme. A new record is added to the list after clicking the button. (On the right-hand side please enter a name, description and scheme steps.)
• Scheme Copy – creating a copy of the selected approval scheme.
• Replace Scheme – replacing the approval scheme by other approval scheme.
• Delete Scheme – deleting the selected scheme.

Selected approval scheme control options:

• Name – please enter or edit the approval scheme name.
• Description – please enter or edit the approval scheme description.
• New approval step – select the approval step you want to add into sequence from the menu.
  • "parent" step – approving by the requester's direct manager.
  • "highest parent" step – approval by the requester's highest manager, i.e. by a person who is the highest above the requester in the organizational structure and does not have its manager.
  • "group" step – approval by any member of the specified user group.
  • "custom" step – an own approving step defined in the database as custom client extension of the ALVAO system.
• Delete step – deletes the selected step.
• Move up – moves the selected step up by one line.
• Move down – moves the selected step down by one line.
