Tools
The Tools menu contains the management of the Asset Management Console advanced functions.
Options:
- Lists
- Detection
- Load from file
- Clear old detections – keep only the newest detection for every computer.
Tip: If you want to keep only the newest detection (the previous one will be deleted automatically upon the successful detection) for every computer, in the ALVAO program Admin – Manage – Asset Management – Settings – the Detection enable the Keep only one valid detection per machine option.
- Database
- Repair Database – recalculate the precalculated items (paths in the tree, object names generated from properties, etc.) again.
- Restore removed items – restore the selected removed records in the Log. To mark the removed records you first need to display them using the context menu – Table – Display deleted items
- SQL Query
- Run SQL script – select the SQL script you want to run from the drive.
- Change password
- Login as different user
- Data analysis – opens the ALVAO Asset Management analytical workbook (located in the "C:\Users\{user}\Documents\ALVAO\Asset Management Analysis.xlsm" folder) in MS Excel.
Note: The analytical workbook location may differ based on the computer settings.
